Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop. Written to be read rather than to be compliant-looking.
1. Data controller

2. What we collect
Account data: name, email, password hash, purchase history, course progress.
Payment data: handled by our payment processor. We receive the last four digits, card brand, country and result — never the full number.
Marketing data: email address and the segment you belong to (lead magnet, buyer, waitlist, gift recipient), plus opens and clicks on our emails.
Analytics data: with your consent, pages viewed and conversion events via Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag.
3. Legal bases
Contract — to give you the course you bought and to support you while you take it.
Consent — for marketing email and for analytics or advertising cookies. Withdrawable at any time, without affecting your access.
Legitimate interest — fraud prevention, service security, and aggregate reporting.
4. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you logged in and make checkout work. They are always on because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you accept them in the banner. Rejecting them costs you nothing on this site.
5. Sharing
Our course platform, payment processor, email provider and analytics providers act as processors on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your email address with other students.
6. Retention
Account and purchase records: seven years, for tax and accounting.
Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not email you again.
Analytics: 14 months.
7. Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Email hello@quant.degree and we will action it within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK and we get it wrong, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
8. International transfers
Our processors operate in the United States and the European Union. Transfers are made under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.
Questions about any of this go to hello@quant.degree. We answer legal questions in plain English, and we do not use a lawyer to reply to a student asking about a refund.
